Policy

Terms, in plain words.

Flieder depends on accurate, authorized, and respectful memorial stewardship. These are the rules of the room — short, and meant to be read.

Respectful use

Use Flieder to create, manage, claim, or contribute to memorials in a respectful and truthful way. Do not impersonate family members, submit false claims, publish invasive details, harass contributors, or use memorial pages for scams or unauthorized commerce.

Family control

Memorial owners and approved family managers control visibility, search indexing, tribute settings, photo contributions, exact location display, QR sharing, and publication decisions. These settings should be used to honor the family’s wishes.

Contributions

Contributors are responsible for the stories, photos, names, emails, links, and relationship details they submit. Only upload content you have the right to share. Families and moderators may approve, reject, or remove contributions that are inaccurate, harmful, commercial, or inconsistent with privacy controls.

Claims and disputes

Claim requests must be honest and supported by appropriate context — relationship, authority, or verification evidence. Disputed memorials may be reviewed, locked, corrected, transferred, or removed to protect the family and the accuracy of the record.

No grief commerce by default

Ads, flowers, candles, donation upsells, and tribute-store features are disabled by default. Paid features support preservation, privacy, and family control — not the monetization of grief.

Moderation

Admins and moderators may review pending content, claims, disputes, and takedown requests. Accounts may lose access if they submit false, abusive, infringing, invasive, or spam content.

Legal review

These terms are reviewed by qualified legal counsel for the operating region and updated as policy requirements evolve.

Updated periodically. Material changes are surfaced before they take effect.
